The project comprises a single-storey, eight-classroom primary school, with a connected General Purpose (GP) Hall, two special education teaching rooms, external play areas, a ball court, new access and associated site development.
The M&E services incorporates a range of modern, energy-efficient building services designed to provide a comfortable, healthy and sustainable learning environment.

A highly efficient Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) provides the primary source of heating for the school, including space heating and the pre-heating of domestic hot water.

The system utilises a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant and provides the school’s base heating load, with fully modulating LPG boiler assistance forming part of a Bi-Vaillant heating solution. This approach has been designed to maximise system efficiency while supporting carbon reduction.

Across all teaching spaces, low-energy, high-efficiency Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation (MHRV) units have also been installed. These operate on a demand-controlled basis, responding to occupancy levels to provide a controlled supply of clean, tempered fresh air to each space.

The electrical services comprise energy-efficient LED lighting. Renewable energy provision is incorporated through the installation of roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) panels.

Together, these systems provide an efficient and responsive approach to heating, hot water and ventilation, supporting both energy performance and a comfortable learning environment.
